There's something about waterfalls that draws people, and there are countless waterfalls in Tuolumne County. As winter's snow melts in the Sierra Nevada, they come alive. If you're looking for one or two, here are some ideas.
Waterfalls along Highway 120 and in Yosemite
Preston Falls - Moderate, 9 miles
Carlon Falls - Moderate, 3.8 miles
Hetch Hetchy Reservoir:
Wapama Falls - Monderate, 4.6 miles
Rancheria Falls - Moderate, 13 miles
Tioga Pass:*
Tuolumne Falls & White Cascade (via Glen Aulin Trail from Tuolumne Meadows) - Moderate, 8 miles
Yosemite Valley:
Bridalveil Fall - Easy, .5 miles
Lower Yosemite Fall - Easy, 1 mile loop
Upper Yosemite Fall - Strenuous, 2 miles to Columbia Point; 7.2 miles to top
Vernal Fall - Moderate, 1.4 miles to Footbridge; Strenuous, 2.4 miles to top
Waterfalls along Highway 108/Sonora Pass Area*
Niagara Falls is visible from the Donnell Vista Point on Highway 108
Blue Canyon Falls is visible on the right side of Highway 108, 6 miles east of Kennedy Meadows turnoff
There are numerous falls visible on Highway 108 going over the Sonora Pass
