All aboard! on the opening weekend for the regular steam train operating season at Railtown 1897 SHP! Arrive at 9:30 a.m. and watch the crew prepare the train for the day in the historic roundhouse.
On our season weekend train rides, guests will enjoy a memorable six-mile, 45-minute round trip ride on the rails of the famous "Movie Railroad," including past the iconic water tank seen in "Petticoat Junction," a popular TV show that aired in the 60's and 70's. Excursion trains are scheduled for 10:30 am, 12 pm, 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm, April through September. Tickets may be purchased in advance online.
The Park is open for self-guided and guided tours year-round. Exhibits, including a movie museum, are found throughout the grounds.
