Reserve a table at The Branch, which offers signature, multi-course Chef's Tasting Menu dinners with seasonally rotating menus by their classically trained, Bay Area Chef, Matt Garcia. The Eproson House has been the staple of mountain dining in the Sierra since 1930 and features steaks, seafood, fresh pasta dishes, and salads. For a quick, casual treat, The Haps Boba Tea & Bites serves up a large selection of colorful boba/bubble tea and other specialty drinks, plus bubble waffles, Japanese crepes, and much more.
There's no play like snow play, and Twain Harte is right next to a pair of excellent spots for that in the winter. Leland High Sierra Snow Play is a full-service, lift-assisted snow park with a ton of tubing space; 15 acres to be exact. The groomed hills make for epic tube runs.
Dodge Ridge Mountain Resort is a favorite local spot and the closest ski resort to the San Francisco Bay Area. It's a great place to bring the kids looking to learn about the joys of skiing in a friendly atmosphere, as they've been teaching the next generation of skiers for several generations now.
