The  Visit Tuolumne County team is saddened by the devastating impacts of  the 6-5 Fire, which began on September 2. Our hearts go out to everyone who has experienced loss during this tragic event, and  we stand with our community during this difficult time. We are so grateful for our amazing first responders and all those who are helping  through recovery efforts.

As this historic town recovers and heals, we ask visitors and community members to be mindful and respectful when traveling through the area. The community carries a rich history that is an important part of Tuolumne County’s story, and it deserves both care and consideration during this difficult time.
